Homopus signatus
The enclosure is 120 cm x 50 x 50 cm
1 heating bulb of 60 watts and 1 Daylight bulb 25 watts
Temperatures under the bulb in the winter between 30-35 degrees in the coldest corner of the enclosure 20 degrees
At night 6-18 degrees.
In the summer it is warmer
In the winter i spray 3-4 times a week in the summer 1 time a week
Feeding every 2 days vitamines and minerals 1 time a week.
This male is 6 years old and mature. Weights about 70 grms and is 8 cm long.

Do you have any problem with feeding? that specie use to eat a lot of South African succulent plants.

This ones is a captive bred.
No prblems witch eating the things a give to the animal.
The imported parents of this animal had some problems but this is all over now.
This one is eating the same as any other animal of a other species.

The beak is indeed a little bit to long.
I hope when the grasses grow in the wild it will reduce a little.

A Reptile veterinarian can also reduce that beak length Maybe it is the best option for now, however that is not critical right now

It is impossible to get the head to reduce it.
To mutch stress it wont stick his neck out when you come close with your hand at any time.
